About Us
My name is Rianne Schoeber and I live in Sonnega, a small village near Wolvega in the southern part of Friesland. I live together with my husband Aalt and our Shelties: Melvin, Dorris, Lewis and Mayla.
In January 1997 we got our Rough Collie Maroussia. Unfortunately she turned out to have HD. We would have loved to do agility or flyball with her, but because of her bad hips that was no longer an option. We then decided to get another dog.
Our first Sheltie Kelly (Kelly v.d. Carnivoor Stam) arrived in December 1997 and we immediately fell in love with her and with the breed. In 2000 Kelly had her first litter, from which we kept a tricolour female, Bonita.
Over the years our kennel grew. We have had the privilege of sharing our lives with many wonderful Shelties. Unfortunately we have had to say goodbye to Maroussia, Kelly, Bonita, Fardau, Maeglin, Thiago, Laura, Veron and Zinzi over time. Our current dogs are Melvin, Dorris, Lewis and Mayla.
We breed only occasionally and only when we or friends want a puppy from a litter. Our main goal is to breed healthy Shelties, free from hereditary defects and with a sound temperament.
We have done agility with several of our dogs and also enjoy going to shows regularly. For us, the joy is in participating and spending time with our dogs, not just in winning.
